MYB Shop participates in affiliate programs. When you click a recommended product link and buy something, we may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a normal link with a tracking code on the end. The tracking code tells the seller (Amazon, Sweetwater, Plugin Boutique, etc.) that we sent you. If you buy within a time window, the seller pays us a small percentage — usually between 1% and 8% — out of their margin.

Who we're affiliated with

We participate in the following programs (and add others as it makes sense):

• Amazon Associates. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
• Sweetwater & other music retailer affiliate programs — for pro audio gear.
• Plugin Boutique, Splice, and other software/sample affiliate programs.
• Direct sales of MYB Shop sample packs and digital goods, where there's no affiliate — you buy from us, we get paid by you.

Our rules

• We use what we recommend. Every product written about on this site lives at MYB Studio. If we've only borrowed it, we say so explicitly.
• We don't rank by commission. The recommendation order on this site is based on what we'd actually buy first — not which seller pays the most.
• We disclose paid placements. If a brand ever pays us to write about something (which we don't do as of this writing), we'll mark it as “Sponsored” in the headline.
• We disclose free units. If a manufacturer sends us hardware or software at no cost, we mark it “Sample provided” in the writeup.

Why we work this way

The internet is full of gear sites that recommend whatever has the biggest commission, regardless of quality. We don't want to be that. The whole point of this shop is that we're putting our actual studio's shelf in public — if we lie about what's on it, the project is worthless.
